Monthly Side Hustle Totals September 2021

I decided that at the end of each month in 2021, I’m going to post the breakdown of how much I made doing each side hustle/cashback app. My complete side hustle list can be found here and my complete list of Smartphone Apps can be found here.

I know some of you are curious about how much I make doing all of the hustles that I wrote about, and while I do a year-end update, I know some of you don’t wanna wait till the end of the year and that’s understandable.

Some of the side hustles I do frequently, like using the Fetch Rewards App every time I go shopping.

Some of the hustles are more passive but have cumulative rewards so even though I do them each month, I may not receive a payout each month. It doesn’t make them any less valuable to me, they just take a longer amount of time to earn the reward. Honestly, those are fairly low-time investments, so I don’t feel bad that they take a long time to earn a payout. SBKC and Achievement are two of these.

And some I do in fits and starts. For example, I may not spend a lot of time doing PaidViewPoint surveys for a few weeks, and then I’ll get two or three emails telling me that I have time-sensitive or higher-paying surveys. Then I’ll rush over to the site and do five or 10 surveys and earn five or 10 bucks. It just depends on what’s available at the time.

Some of you might notice from this list that there are a number of research studies, I’ve been trying to do at least 1-2 a month because they tend to pay a lot better than surveys. I have been posting research studies and opportunities on the blog whenever they come across my email. I hope some of you are also applying for them and receiving opportunities to do them too.

September was back to school and I started looking for a part-time job in earnest. I was able to do 3 research studies online. I have been doing a lot of reviews and such but don’t pay cash, but rather pay in-kind (Tryit, InfluensterSocial Nature, and BzzAgent). Each one of those sends a product or samples. In September, I received about $250 worth of items to review including toys, a couple games, free clothes, and food items.

I try not to take the sample only offers because it’s not worth my time to review a bunch of sample size stuff. Especially when I can be working with brands and companies that offer me products that are full-size, or they pay me with cash. Because really, as nice as say five dollar tube of deodorant might be, I can’t really pay my utility bill with it.

  • Fetch Rewards: $50
  • Capterra: $50
  • Ibotta: $22.00
  • Pinecone Research: $15
  • UpVoice: $10
  • Misc. Rebates: $50
  • Class Action Lawsuit payouts (these I didn’t apply for, I just received checks in the mail) $32.00
  • Ohm Connect: $25
  • Research Studies: $225 (total for three studies combined)

August was busy with back-to-school stuff, so I didn’t have time for any research studies, which are usually a large part of the money I make each month. I have been doing a lot of reviews and such but don’t pay cash, but rather pay in-kind (Tryit, InfluensterSocial Nature, and BzzAgent). Each one of those sends a product or samples. In August, I received a new mattress valued at over $500, a new juicer, and skincare valued at $100, all in exchange for a review!

I try not to take the sample only offers because it’s not worth my time to review a bunch of sample size stuff. Especially when I can be working with brands and companies that offer me products that are full-size, or they pay me with cash. PiadViewPoint- Now you can cash out sooner!

I received this info in my inbox this morning and I had to share it. Most of you know that I love PaidViewPoint and that it’s one of the best survey companies around (at least in my opinion). They just got better.

PaidViewPoint members have been asking for lower cash-out limits, and PaidViewPoint has listened!

Your initial cash-out threshold will remain the same for security purposes. You must use PayPal, and you must have earned a minimum of $15.00. Once you have completed your first cash out, your second cash out threshold will only be $10.00! After that, you’ll be able to cash out every time you earn $5.00!

I’ve been a member for 4-ish years, and I do a couple surveys each week. Each Survey you are sent you are pre-qualified for. That means that you won’t spend 20 minutes doing a survey only to be told, “Sorry, we don’t need you!” and you don’t get paid. PaidViewPoint surveys vary in bounty/amount earned, starting at .10 and working up to $5 (I got a $5 survey last week- they are rare, but definitely worth it!).

You will receive an email when they have surveys for you, but I check my PaidViewPoint account a few times a week to see if there are any available, just in case I miss emails from them.

If you are looking for a survey company that doesn’t mess around, I recommend PaidViewPoint!

Earning Money with Surveys 2021 Summer Edition!

Kitty is on the prowl for surveys!

Looking for a job is a process that takes time. In the meantime, you still have to earn money. I thought that I’d post some survey companies that I use to make money while I’m on the hunt for a part-time job.  There are a lot of Get Rich Quick scams out there (here are a few to avoid), and I wanted to share with you some ways you can earn money at home in a legit way.

I do a lot of surveys online through various companies. Some of my favorites can be found here on my Side Hustles page.

Recently, a few more survey companies have been brought to my attention, so I thought I’d share them too.

Receive cashback from Kashkick when you read emails, complete surveys, take quizzes, referring your friend, and subscribing to special promotions.

Pinecone Research members receive points for each completed survey! Points can be redeemed for cash or prizes. I love Pinecone research!

They will send you an email notification when you have a survey available. Complete the survey and earn points to be redeemed for either cash or prizes. Occasionally, they will send you a product to test, too.

Sign up and take surveys to earn points that can be redeemed for e-giftcards from Survey Junkie. Earn points by taking surveys, which can pay anywhere from $2 to $75 per completed survey.

One differentiator with Survey Junkie is that if you do not qualify for a survey, you still earn some points for it.

Monthly Side Hustle Totals- June 2021

June was a great month for side hustles! I’ve been keeping track in a Google Sheet, and June was the best month to date so far, in terms of both cash made and full-size products received. I have been doing a lot of reviews and such but don’t pay cash, but rather pay in-kind (Tryit, InfluensterSocial Nature, and BzzAgent). Each one of those sends a product or samples.

I’ll be writing about how I’ve been using my funds earned to stretch our grocery budget later in the week or next week. It’s been pretty amazing how you can take advantage of apps and deals and free gift cards to stretch your budget.

Monthly Side Hustle Totals- May 2021

I decided that at the end of each month in 2021 I’m going to post the breakdown of how much I made doing each side hustle/cashback app.

Some of them I don’t do as often like Field Agent. I haven’t been really any Field Agent tasks that I’m interested in as of late. Most of them are alcohol-based and since I don’t drink because I’m not exercising to burn off the calories of the liquor I consume, I’m not terribly interested in bringing alcohol into my house.

I have been posting research studies and opportunities on the blog whenever they come across my email. I hope some of you are also applying for them and receiving opportunities to do them too.

Below is my list for May. I did a few Field Agent gigs since both of the kids are back to school full time and that gives me a few more hours each day to work my hustle (and research and write for the blog).  I have been doing a lot of reviews and such but don’t pay cash, but rather pay in-kind (Tryit, InfluensterSocial Nature, and BzzAgent). Each one of those sends a product or samples.

I try not to take the sample only offers because it’s not worth my time to review a bunch of sample size stuff, especially when I can be working with brands and companies that offer me products that are full-size, or they pay me with cash. • Research Study/Focus Group: $75
  • Capterra: $50
  • Pinecone Research: $12
  • Field Agent: $37.39
  • PaidViewPoint: $16.10
  • State of CA Healthy Living Survey: $50
  • Sold some old toys/clothes on FB Marketplace: $75
  • Bitmo Perks: $5
